The above picture is a page from the Stepanov choreographic notation of the Sergeyev Collection, which documents Marius Petipa’s original choreography for the scene Le jardin animé from Le Corsaire. Here’s another picture from the ballet “Bayadere” circa 1900. Pretty incredible.
